Dr Junagade's dream of affordable bone marrow transplantation was realized in Nashik, India in August 2010 when he performed the first bone marrow transplant at half the price of what is charged in Mumbai, India or rest of the country. Nashik also became the first tier 2 city in India to perform such a feat.
The patient had a disease called aplastic anaemia, where blood cells are not formed.
We perform stem cell transplant for:
- Thalassaemia major.
- Progressive Sickle cell disease.
- Aplastic anaemia.
- Acute leukemia.
- Chronic leukemia.
- Multiple Myeloma.
- Fanconi;s anaemia.
- Rare immunodeficiency diseases etc.
